Horta-Sorb SM


What it is!
Horta-Sorb® water management gel polymers are substances that absorb hundreds of times their weight in water. The water absorbed is nearly all available to the plants.
This results in reducing watering maintenance
and provides a more constant supply of water to the roots.
Tip: Use with DIEHARDTM Transplant
for addition of mycorrhizae, beneficial bacteria and fungi.

Polymers have been used in many areas in horticulture and agriculture for nearly two decades now. Initially accepted as a bare root dip in forestry, their use quickly spread to landscape, greenhouse, nursery and numerous agricultural markets.

How to use it
Horta-Sorb® SM (1.0mm to 2.0mm) use when planting trees and shrubs.
Mix Horta-Sorb® SM, 1 oz. per one-inch caliper tree or foot diameter of ball. Add to top 2/3 of hole after back fill.
Containerized Plants:
Add the Horta-Sorb® SM at the time of potting up the plants at the rate of ½ to 2 lbs. per cubic yard depending on how much water you want to hold.
